Lodz, Poland

It was a super long and horrible bus ride from Berlin to Lodz.  After the chaos in the morning arriving in the wrong station, it kept raining and arrival was delayed. Polski bus does not have the same facility as Flixbox.  The toilet was a disaster and not usable so I was running for my life to toilet when we arrived in Poznan for a short stop.

Boutique Hotel is very nice and comfortable and I have a cool roomate from Belarus.

The good thing about Strawberry Tango Marathon is that it is well organized with lots of food and drinks and a nice wooden dance floor.  I danced very little during the marathon but I ate all the time.  The vegetable soups were good !

The best highlight to be in Lodz was the opportunity to watch a dance concert at the Lodz Grand Theatre. The 1st half of the show is The Rite of Spring by Martha Graham.

The Rite of Spring is a ballet and orchestral concert work by the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky. It was written for the 1913 Paris season of Sergei Diaghilev‘s Ballets Russes company; the original choreography was by Vaslav Nijinsky, with stage designs and costumes by Nicholas Roerich. When first performed, at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées on 29 May 1913, the avant-garde nature of the music and choreography caused a sensation and a near-riot in the audience.
