Magura Caves with Prehistoric paintings | North Bulgaria

We have visited many caves including the famous Mulu Caves but this cave is quite interesting as it houses some prehistoric paintings. Unlike some of the caves in Mulu, it is not smelly and for the entire visit, we did not see any other visitors.  The entry is only 5lv per person, around 2.5euros.

As the inner temperature of the cave is constantly at 11-12 °C, it was utilised for speleotherapy and asthma treatment, with highly successful results. A part of the cave is now used for ageing sparkling and red wines, labelled Magura and I got myself a Chardonnay. I will know how it taste when I get back to Belgrade !
