There was very little mention about this little village in the guide books so we were taken by surprise how lovely this village actually is ! Its similar to Bryce Canyon but on a grander scale and the rocks are scattered over a larger area, around 30 km. Its an amazing place for rock climbing, mountain biking and hiking. Its just getting into the guidebooks for rock climbers. The scenery is just breath taking !
Vidin, Montana and Vratsa are some of the poorest areas under the EU and with a huge population of gypsies. These areas are getting very depopulates over the years.
We stopped in Vratsa for coffee. Vratsa is a climbers’ heaven. The 1st Bulgarian guy to climb Mount Everest just published a guide book on climbing trails in this area.
